Boom Bap Breaks Vol. 1

Boom Bap Breaks Vol. 1 is a free sample pack that delivers 100 original, hard-hitting drum loops built for that grimy, raw ’90s boom bap sound. The pack is inspired by the cold, gritty style of New York’s underground hip-hop scene with the styles of Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine and Benny the Butcher in mind. Every drum break is a 4-bar loop ready to drop straight into your beat, with the tempo right in the file name so you can get to work fast.

Inside the pack, you’ll find head-nodders, slow and heavy dirges, stripped-down loops with no hi-hats, lazy behind-the-beat swings, half-time bangers and busy breaks full of little extra hits. The tempos run from slow and menacing to upbeat and bouncy.

Every drum loop has that old-school dirt baked in: crunchy drums, a warm and dusty tone, and a touch of vinyl crackle, so they sound like they were chopped off a record. They’re all mixed to the same volume, so you can swap between them without touching your levels. They work great in your MPC, SP or any DAW.

Just pick a break, throw a sample on top and you’re halfway to a bangin’ record.
